HiSmart Electric UV Insect Killer, 15 W, 110–240 V, Indoor

This electric UV insect killer attracts mosquitoes and small flies with violet LED light at a wavelength of 360–400 nm and kills approaching insects on a high-voltage grid. It uses no chemicals, produces no odour and does not pollute the surroundings. It is powered from an AC outlet through a European plug.

Use and maintenance

• For best results, use the unit indoors in an enclosed space without competing light sources. Switch off or dim room lights and televisions, and keep the unit away from strong airflow from fans or air conditioners.
• The unit may be hung approximately 1.5–2.0 m above the floor with the included chain.
• Disconnect the unit and remove dry insect remains with a soft brush or by gently shaking it. Do not use water or wet wipes. A removable bottom tray collects fallen insects.
• Remove debris promptly because a heavy build-up may cause a short circuit and damage the unit.

• Do not touch the metal grid with hands or metal objects.
• Keep out of reach of children and avoid prolonged close viewing of the light source.
• Do not use around combustible gas, flammable or explosive goods, or hazardous chemicals.
• Suitable locations include rooms, kitchens and hallways, rain-protected balconies or terraces, garden houses, garages, basements, cottages, offices, and indoor areas of shops or cafés.
