Description
Flying Star is a wooden biplane construction kit and an educational solar-powered toy. When direct light reaches the solar panel, the motor spins the propeller; the completed model is not designed to fly.
Assembly and use
- Beginner-level assembly takes about 15-20 minutes using the detailed illustrated manual; no tools are required.
- The laser-cut birch plywood parts fit together mechanically. Wood glue may be used for a stronger assembly but is not included.
- The wooden model can be painted or varnished after assembly.
- For best operation, use direct sunlight. Indoors, a 50W halogen lamp may be used; the toy does not operate reliably in shade, indirect sunlight, cloudy conditions or under fluorescent lighting.

- Assembled model length: approximately 20 cm; box dimensions: 300x195x35 mm; weight: 120 g.
- Recommended for independent assembly from age 14, or from age 8 with adult supervision.
- Not suitable for children under 3 years because small parts present a choking hazard.
