What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Crong Deluxe MAG Cover is a protective case made for iPhone 17 Pro. Its irregular brown-and-amber pattern is inspired by tortoiseshell and is covered by a glossy epoxy-resin finish. Because the pattern placement can vary between pieces, the exact appearance may differ. Hybrid PC and TPU construction combines a shaped back with flexible sides, while raised borders around the screen and camera help keep these areas away from flat surfaces. A side attachment point can be used with a compatible lanyard.

The built-in magnetic ring uses N52 neodymium magnets for compatible MagSafe accessories and wireless chargers. Attachment and charging performance depend on the accessory, charger and alignment; compatibility does not promise a particular charging rate. The manufacturer states that the construction was drop-tested from heights up to 1.5 m, which describes a test and cannot guarantee that a phone will survive every fall. UV-resistant materials are intended to slow visible yellowing, but long-term appearance still depends on use, light and care.
