What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

Crong Color Cover Magnetic is a stone-beige three-layer protective case made specifically for iPhone 14 Pro Max. The manufacturer's code is CRG-COLRM-IP1467P-STN. Its matte liquid-silicone outer layer feels smooth, a rigid polycarbonate inner frame reinforces the structure, and a soft microfiber lining reduces rubbing against the back of the phone.

Built-in magnets align a compatible MagSafe charger and magnetic accessories. Holding force, charging speed and temperature depend on the accessory, alignment, power adapter and conditions; the case does not guarantee faster charging.
The case also permits charging on compatible Qi pads. Remove cards, coins and other metal objects from between the phone, case and charger before charging.
The matte surface is designed to improve grip and make routine cleaning easier, but it cannot prevent every fingerprint, stain or sign of wear. Wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid aggressive solvents.
A raised screen lip and camera frame help separate glass and lenses from a flat surface. Covered corners and sides help against everyday scratches and bumps but cannot prevent damage in every fall.
Check the exact iPhone model before ordering. Fit the clean, grit-free phone gently into the case so trapped particles do not mark its finish.
