Tempered glass or hydrogel film — what is the difference?

Tempered glass (9H hardness) protects against drops and scratches and feels like the real screen under your finger. Hydrogel film is thinner and flexible, sits properly on a curved screen and heals surface scratches by itself — but it does not absorb impact. For most phones we recommend tempered glass.

Does a screen protector make the display worse?

No. A good protector has over 99% light transmission and an oleophobic coating that repels fingerprints. Colours and brightness stay the same.

Will a protector interfere with the fingerprint reader?

Tempered glass can slow down an in-display reader slightly. Hydrogel film works better with that technology. Tip: re-register your fingerprints after fitting the protector.

How often should a screen protector be replaced?

Replace it as soon as you see cracks or deep scratches — a cracked protector no longer protects properly. A good one typically lasts 6–12 months.

Description

Crong 3D Armor Glass is a 0.33 mm tempered-glass screen protector shaped specifically for iPhone 12 Pro Max. Its black 3D-finished border follows the display edges, while full-surface adhesive helps maintain responsive touch operation.

A special antibacterial coating is applied to the glass surface; regular cleaning of the screen remains necessary.
The 9H surface-hardness rating describes scratch resistance; it does not make the protector unbreakable.
The glass transmits a stated 92% of light and remains compatible with Face ID and Haptic Touch.
The edge-to-edge shape is compatible with most correctly fitted protective cases.
A dedicated installation frame helps align the glass on the compatible phone without specialist tools.

The package contains one Crong 3D Armor Glass protector for iPhone 12 Pro Max and a dedicated installation frame; the phone and case are not included.
