Description
The Alpina Smart Zigbee flood sensor detects water at its sensing area and can send an alert through a compatible Alpina Smart Zigbee gateway and mobile app. It is suitable for monitored locations such as beside a washing machine, sink or water heater.
- The enclosure is rated IP66. This describes resistance to dust and strong water jets; it does not make the sensor suitable for continuous submersion.
- Power is supplied by one 3 V CR2032 battery, and the housing measures 34 × 41 × 15 mm.
- The stated Zigbee range is up to 90 m without obstacles. A compatible gateway is required and sold separately.
- Place the sensing area where leaking water is likely to reach it and test notifications after setup; walls, interference, battery condition and app settings affect alerts.
- The sensor warns of detected water but does not stop the flow. It does not replace regular inspection, a shut-off valve or appropriate insurance.
The package contains one Alpina Smart flood sensor. A Zigbee gateway and phone are not included.
