Alpina stainless-steel can opener, 21 cm

The Alpina can opener is a 21 cm manual kitchen tool made from stainless steel. Its geared cutting wheel is positioned on a can rim, while the two cylindrical handles provide a controlled grip and the rotary control advances the opener around the lid. Hanging loops are formed at the ends of both handles.

Fit the wheel squarely on an undamaged rim, close the handles and turn the control without forcing the mechanism. Take care around the cut lid and rim because their edges may be sharp. Remove food residue after use and dry the opener before storage. Unusually shaped or damaged cans may require another opening method.
