Ajax KeyPad TouchScreen Wireless Security Keypad, Black

Ajax KeyPad TouchScreen is a black wireless indoor keypad for arming and disarming an Ajax security system, controlling selected groups and activating scenarios. Users can operate it with the touch screen, a passcode, an Ajax Pass card, an Ajax Tag key fob or a compatible smartphone.

Control and security

• The 5-inch IPS touch screen provides the system controls with automatic or manual brightness. Light and sound indication reports security status without opening the app; backlight brightness and volume are adjustable.
• Jeweller carries commands, alarms and events, while Wings transfers group, room, detector and malfunction lists. Radio range to the hub is up to 1700 m in open space.
• DESFire EV1/EV2 contactless identification follows ISO14443-A at 13.56 MHz and uses 128-bit encryption and copy protection. The technology is also used in European transport systems and NASA access systems.
• Ajax systems support up to 200 Pass cards or Tags, depending on the hub. Devices can be named and assigned access rights without creating an Ajax account for each temporary user.
• Personal passcodes identify who disarmed the system. Pass and Tag permissions can cover selected groups or the entire site and can be changed or blocked remotely in the Ajax app.
• Anti-sabotage measures include device authentication, radio-jamming detection, tamper notifications, an alarm after three consecutive wrong passcodes, rejection of invalid cards or key fobs, and communication-loss detection in less than one minute. A duress code can silently notify a monitoring station while simulating disarming.
• Scenarios can switch off lights, water and electrical appliances or close roller shutters when the system is armed.

Power and installation

• Six pre-installed AA batteries provide up to 1.5 years of operation, including daily contactless identification. Low-battery warnings are sent in advance.
• An external 12 V supply can provide extended operation while the batteries remain as backup. The supply is not included. Operating input: 10.5–14 V, maximum 0.4 A.
• The keypad is added and configured in Ajax apps by scanning its QR code; the enclosure need not be opened. Always Active Display is available only with external power; the guaranteed backlight life is 30000 hours.
• The keypad is not a stand-alone device and must be paired with a compatible Ajax hub. Smartphone access requires Android or iOS 9 with BLE 4.2 or later. The number of personal and duress codes depends on the hub.
